A Construction company with the goal of increasing the value of our client’s homes or converting them into investment properties. We are your full-service real estate reinvestment construction solution, that specializes in home renovation, basement renovations, and suite conversions. We are based in Hamilton Ontario, and we also serve the Halton, Guelph, Waterloo, Niagara, and Brant County regions.
OUR SERVICES
Phase 1: Pre-Construction
The pre-construction phase is the most crucial part of any construction project. In this phase, we develop an understanding of our client’s needs, the goal of the project, develop a project scope, and the budget implications. This is a critical first step to aligning expectations and also helps us select the appropriate level of finishes. With the help of a Building Code Identification Number accredited designer, we then develop a set of working drawings that reflects our client’s needs and is essential for the permit application process. Once we have working drawings, a bill of materials and estimate is produced for our proposal.
Phase 2: Contracts
A contract is essential to ensure expectations are transparent with the customer. We make sure this is a ‘no surprises’ process: It essentially is a description of our work based upon the agreed scope of work and agreed budget. Contracts are quickly Vetted by a legal professional to protect both parties. Our legal documents describe what we are doing, when, how, our payment schedules, and what both parties can expect. We believe that this can be done quickly, but it’s important to ensure everyone is on the same page as we get started. Our proposals have been praised as very detailed and descriptive. All renovations in excess of $5000 will get a contract and all clients will keep a 10% hold back until the end of the project as per the Construction Lien Act.
Phase 3: Construction
We understand there can be a lot of fear when starting a large-scale construction project. Construction delays, missed inspections, longer holding costs, and change orders incited by the city can all spring up when a process isn’t streamlined. Our proven construction phasing and conversion system ensure projects are completed within schedule, creates cash flow sooner, and has a minimal disruptive impact on our clients. We have the confidence to get the job done and remain a passive partner to homeowners and investors alike.

ABOUT US
Renovest was started in 2017 by owner-operator Bryan Johnson as a natural progression from his early 7-year career in project management and estimation for major construction projects. “I wanted to go hands-on with my own business and it was time to go on my own,” said Bryan.
From a modest start, the business has grown with bigger projects and blossomed during the Pandemic. Renovest has grown, but Bryan is still a hands-on builder who takes pride in delighting his customers with a job well done.
As Bryan puts it “being the owner means I stand behind all our work. It’s a point of personal pride.”
